What is a podcast player or podcast manager? And how do I get one?
A podcast manager (also known as a podcast player or a podcatcher) is a program to find and subscribe to podcasts. They also automatically download each new podcast episode as they become available.
You can find and download a podcast manager to your computer by doing a simple, online search, or to a device through your app store. If you use Itunes, you can use it as your podcast manager and sync your device to your Itunes account to receive the podcast to your device.
I have downloaded a podcast app, now what?
In the audio sermon library, click "Subscription Options."
Follow instructions for Itunes or PC.
If Itunes opens but does not automatically subscribe, leave Itunes open, return to the subscribe button, and click it again.
If you are not using Itunes, copy the address in the box (highlight it, right click and select copy, or highlight it, cntl+c) and then paste it into your podcast manager (cntl+v or right click and select paste).
Each app will be a little different than the next so for exact instructions on using the specific app you chose, please refer to the app's "help" or "tutorial" to find out more.
The program should now automatically receive the sermon as soon as we make it available online.
If you click on the "Subscribe in Itunes" button and Itunes opens, but then nothing else happens, try this:
1- Leave Itunes open and return to the sermon page.
2- Click the "Subscribe in Itunes" button again and it should begin downloading the most recent sermon file. If you want all of the sermon files change the podcast settings to download all episodes.
3- If you subscribe, but then do not view your podcasts Itunes will stop automatically downloading new episodes until you are caught up. You can change this in your settings/preferences if you wish.
